I have a confession to make - I have never watched an Animation movie that was for adults. I associate them with kids movies. Well, I won’t make that mistake again.
I watch a lot of movies. I have watched movies by many directors, where many actors/actresses have played a role. For many of them, this is not a job. It’s a calling, a passion. And it shows in the movie they are a part of. But I was blown away by the love and passion that was infused in every frame of Bombay Rose. This movie shows a love for Bombay and a love for everything movies. Every frame, every character, seemed created with care. So much of 'something we could not touch but could touch us' was in every pixel, I had to Google to see who created it and then I Google the heck out of Geetanjali Rao and her work.
The movie has a simple story of everyday people. People with dreams, struggles, and stories. These are people who are struggling financially and face challenges, so it’s not a cheerful movie. How they live, how they find love, what dreams they have, and how they chase after them is what the movie brings to life. It’s real, like any non-animated movie.
I really enjoyed this one. Enjoyed the movie itself and really let the passion in the movie get to me.
If you plan to watch it, make sure you are open to an Animation movie.
Then, sit back and go on a journey.
