Name: Modern Love Stories — Hyderabad season 1
Channel: Amazon Prime
Language: Telugu with English subtitles
Recommendation: it’s a great watch

Some days we crave 24-episode dramas, some days it’s movies, someday- it’s short snappy well-told stories in bite-size single episodes.
Irrespective of what size or form they come in, we are looking for great stories, told with panache, great acting, and characters we want to know at a personal level.
Modern love stories — Hyderabad is all this and more. 6 episodes telling 6 heartwarming stories of everyday people we can fall in love with. This is not my first short story series. I watched short stories by Rabindranath Tagore and loved it. I have also watched Modern Love Stories — Chennai and Mumbai versions. I have to say of all the MLS, Hyderabad is head and shoulders above the rest, in stories, storytelling, and wonderful characters. The icing on the cake — the first episode has Revati and Nithya Menen. Episode 3 has Suhasini.
The stories are set in a moment of time, but fill in with backstories. They have a social context, one that’s universal. They have positive themes and make you want to root for their characters. For people who have visited or lived in Hyderabad, they take you back through the by-lanes of the city through its beloved landmarks, speak in the unique Hyderabadi language, and let you back into that magical, delicate world of Hyderabad culture one episode at a time.
This is a feel-good, relaxing show. I could not recommend it more. Watch it!
