Movie Name: c/o Kaadhal
Language: Tamil with English subtitle
Channel: Netflix
Recommended: Yes, if in a mood for an offbeat, somewhat unexpected movie

I have been watching a movie a day for the last week or so and am somewhat overloaded on movies now.(thankfully!). I was going to skip the watching when I came across this one and clicked and get quickly hooked.

Its an offbeat movie, that chronicles 4 love stories in parallel. All are set in the same village in south India, have very heartwarming characters and make for an interesting watch. The stories are very diverse, characters are well etched and you get invested in all the love stories without prioritizing any of them or getting overwhelmed by them. I really enjoyed the development of the love stories.

The show doesn’t depict anything unnecessarily and invests very wisely in the characters and story around them. Well crafted, beautiful pace and written with heart. Excellent Acting. Really, this is a good movie, done with warmth and done well without exaggeration or need for overwhelming emotions. A perfect movie for a week day evening watch.
If I have to pick a genre for this movie, I would tag it as a ‘Slice of life’.

The one thing I will say is this, if you decide to continue watching this movie after the first 1/2 hr., then watch it fully — right until the very last scene. There are times that you may want to drop the movie, about 20 minutes before the end, but fight the flight response and watch it till the end. You will smile at the unexpectedness of it and how well it was put together.
