Book Review: The Graham Effect
Author: Elle Kennedy
Series: Campus Diaries, Book 1
Genre: Contemporary Romance, Sports Romance, Teens Romance
Recommendation: 3.5/5

Summary: I enjoyed this almost 500-page book and found myself quite invested in the story by the end of it. This despite not liking or enjoying all its portions. It’s an interesting story, with many different threads and varied layers. Despite the differences in their personalities and upbringing, the main couple worked. And this book had a surprising and somewhat unexpected ending. I liked that! The part I did not enjoy, and this is true for most of the books by this author, is she brings almost excessive adult content to her books that mask the ‘romance’.
On the Author and her writing style:
I have a love/hate relationship with this Author. I loved Deal (Book 1 in the Off-campus series) by the same author. This was a few years back. At that time, none of my libraries had the remaining books in the series and I ended up requesting them in ebook. And then DNF’d all the books I ordered. I was drawn to this book because the FL is the daughter of the “deal’ couple.
Some additional notes:
This is a heady romance. If Romance is not your genre, there are better books to try and get into it. This is very much an adult content book. Again, this author is not for you if that’s not your scene…
