Language: Malayalam with English subtitles. I do not know Malayalam and this was not hard to follow.
Recommendation: Perfect watch if you are in the mood for something light with depth of stories
I read an article where the person said that Malayalam movies on Netflix were a blessing. So I searched by ‘Malayalam movie’ on Netflix and stumbled on this one. I don’t watch Malayalam movies, but I had seen Tamil movies with Dulquer and liked him. So I decided to give this one a shot.
So glad that I did. It was an immediate mood lifter. A movie that took its stories very seriously, but not itself. This movie would be a ‘slice-of-life’ genre.
Filled with rich characters, a good life-like pace, and a well-strung-together story that keeps you captivated without effort. I love multi-generational, multi-character stories. This one set in an apartment building brought together the stories of the people staying there. Usually, such stories have main characters, and a hue of secondary characters to keep the story flowing. This one was different — it had fewer characters, and each character was a lead role. It also tackled stories differently. The current lives of the characters blended into each other providing natural scenarios for each character’s individual history to be told. The stories…
